jessica-brown-findlay Lone Scherfig’s big screen adaptation of 2010 controversial play “Posh” has wrapped up filming, but we’ve confirmed some final bits of casting thanks to a tip from U&C reader Elle: “Downton Abbey” star Jessica Brown-Findlay and fellow British up and comers Olly Alexander, Sam Reid and Matthew Beard as well as “The Book Thief” star Ben Schnetzer are also part of the ensemble cast that includes Max Irons, Freddie Fox, Sam Claflin, Douglas Booth, Holliday Grainger and Natalie Dormer.

This mostly young, white and male cast play members of The Riot Club, a fictional version of The Bullingdon Club, an exclusive society at Oxford University to which such prominent British figures as Prime Minister David Cameron belonged. The entire play is set over the course of one evening when the ten members of the club have their termly dinner, while the film will be seen through the eyes of two first year students, Miles and Alistair. It’s unclear which of the actors played the two leads, though Brown-Findlay has the role of Rachel, which should be the female lead of a waitress who gets caught in the boys’ struggle.

Meanwhile, Brown-Findlay has also landed the lead role on BBC’s three-part adaptation of “Jamaica Inn,” according to Deadline. The British up and comer is best known for her role as Lady Sybil on “Downton Abbey.” Since leaving the show, she’s landed the female lead role opposite Colin Farrell in fantasy epic “Winter’s Tale” as well as the female lead in Fox’s upcoming reboot of “Frankenstein” opposite Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, and has wrapped indie drama “Lullaby” opposite Garrett Hedlund and Amy Adams.
